About the workshop

The cervix is the gatekeeper of birth. Before any baby can be born vaginally, the cervix needs to open.
If the soft tissue structures that comprise the support crew are tense or off balance, the cervix and womb will be tense and off balance, increasing the chance of the baby going into posterior position, and the cervix having difficulty in opening.

If you have you ever wondered why the cervix is sometimes slow to open, or doesn’t want to open, or what you can do to support her to open, then join us in this experiential workshop to learn about the how, why, where, what and wonders of the cervix:
- how does the cervix open?
- why is it sometimes easy and sometimes difficult for the cervix to open?
- where is the cervix located and where does she go?
- what influences the functioning of the cervix?

This workshop will include body strategies and techniques for helping the cervix reach her potential in birth, and insights into the soft tissue connections and support structures of the cervix, womb and vagina.
