Decolonising Birth

Sunday

What does it mean to decolonise birth? How can I contribute to a decolonised birthing space? How can I begin unpacking my unconscious bias and cultural socialisation? How can I become a better ally for birthing BIPOC? If you've never asked yourself any of these questions by 2021, it's time to start engaging in spaces that do. This honest and robust talk offers an introduction into how race, power and privilege affects our ability to access, understand and support birthing BIPOC and how our actions, (albeit well intentioned) often uphold systemic racism and oppression.
